VistaJet, the world’s leading luxury aviation company, will highlight its bespoke Challenger 605 long-range aircraft at the upcoming Asian Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (ABACE) in Shanghai, April 16-18.
Hot on the heels of its 27 city-stop Think Global world tour, commemorating its record order for up to 142 aircraft valued at more than $7.8 billion, the largest single transaction in business aviation history, VistaJet returns to China at ABACE highlighting the key role this country plays in the company’s global strategy.
“Given the importance of the Chinese market, we decided to make Hong Kong and Beijing the first two stops of our recent Think Global world tour showcasing the range and capabilities of our fleet and service. The key behind VistaJet’s successful expansion since I founded the company in 2004 has been our ability to identify and offer unparalleled standards of quality, style and service to such strategic growth markets. China’s developing trade links with Africa means there is a growing need for non-stop long-haul flights to countries where there are no direct commercial airline routes, such as Mozambique and Nigeria. We are also committed to building a major presence with VistaJet’s Program and On Demand products in Mainland China and service the growing demand for private aviation within the country without the cost and hassle to own an aircraft. Our VistaJet Beijing office is leading these efforts and this will allow VistaJet eventually to operate point-to-point flights within China. We already have the preliminary license to operate domestically and are anticipating a full operating license in due course.”
Thomas Flohr, founder and chairman of VistaJet
VistaJet also has an office in Hong Kong, in operation since 2008, and currently has three long range aircraft based in the region – a Global 6000 a Challenger 850, and a Challenger 605 – with plans for an additional five aircraft in China by 2015. In December 2012, VistaJet appointed aviation executive Chris Edwards as President for the Asia-Pacific region along with a dedicated sales team based in the Hong Kong office.
“2012 was a big year for us in the region. We operated over 350 flights in and out of China carrying 1,490 passengers, a growth of 11% over 2011. We’ve seen a significant increase in demand from Chinese entrepreneurs and businesses who have flown with VistaJet internationally and have come to consider our service as an extension of their own company, highlighting consistent quality and reliability at the top of their criteria when selecting a corporate aviation provider. Our strategy is simple, we offer our passengers an unparalleled point to point service and we deliver on this promise, every time.”
Ian Moore, chief commercial officer of VistaJet
The November 2012 Global aircraft order – comprising of 25 Global 5000*, 25 Global 6000, and six Global 8000* jets, with options for a further 40 Global 5000, 40 Global 6000 and six Global 8000 jets – is a continuation of the company’s strategic decision to fast-track the growth of the fleet, focusing on wide-cabin, long-range jets to provide point-to-point global coverage. The new aircraft will directly service growth markets, including China, Russia the Middle East and Africa, connecting them non-stop to the rest of the globe, as well as serving the East and West coast United States for their intercontinental travel needs.
VistaJet is the first commercial operator of the Global 6000 jet, leading the way in long-haul flights connecting the growth markets. Its global strategy has made VistaJet the clear market leader with unparalleled experience flying in to, and out of, the hardest-to-reach destinations around the world. This is just one more example of VistaJet continuing to “Think Global” and bringing the most advanced and accomplished long-range premium aircraft family to their customers anywhere in the world.
“This is a very special day. Not only are we taking delivery of our 53rd Bombardier business jet, we are also celebrating the quality and craftsmanship that goes into these incredible aircraft. With Bombardier’s full range of Global aircraft in our fleet, I truly believe VistaJet has the right product for the right mission. We deploy these aircraft to the remote regions across the world and when a silver jet with a red stripe lands, people recognise it as a VistaJet aircraft and they also know that the passengers on-board are in town to do business.”
Thomas Flohr, founder and chairman of VistaJet
VistaJet has a current fleet of over 35 business aircraft. It has also been growing what is already one of the largest business aviation flight crew rosters worldwide to ensure that it has flight crew availability 24/7 anywhere in the world. VistaJet’s pilots are rated amongst the most proficient in the world and have extensive experience in flying long-haul sectors to remote destinations that comprise the majority of the flights the company flew in 2012. Furthermore, the company has also doubled its dedicated sales force across strategic markets to establish further presence and support for existing and new customers.
