Join us for a remarkable journey through the enchanting landscapes and historic estates of Scotland. Led by Lady Violet Manners, the founder of HeritageXplore, immerse yourself in the elegant world of Scotland's magnificent country estates, offering refined country sports, elegant hospitality, and exquisite dining experiences. We begin our journey at Burghley House, where Orlando Rock, Chairman of Christie’s and owner of Burghley, will expertly guide guests around. We then venture to Belvoir Castle for a dinner in the State Dining Room and a guided tour by His Grace, The Duke of Rutland. Next, dive into the heart of Scotland for a three-day expedition through the Highlands in utmost comfort.
Upon landing in Scotland, we will visit Scone Palace for afternoon tea and a private tour hosted by Viscount Stormont at his historic home, where all Scottish Kings were once crowned. Guests will be chauffeured by HeritageXplore car partner, Polestar, around Scotland. Following this, we will enjoy two nights of luxury at the renowned Gleneagles Hotel, famous for its top-tier golf resort and world-class spa. The following day, we will take a private tour and whisky tasting at Blair Atholl Castle, where the world's oldest whisky was discovered in 2023. We will return to Gleneagles for a gorgeous black-tie dinner in Strathearn.
The next morning, we will leave for Glamis Castle, home to the Earl of Strathmore, for a private tour, lunch, and dinner before traveling back to Edinburgh for airport and train travel. Prepare to be enchanted by the most exquisite landscapes and magnificent historic houses of England and Scotland on a captivating voyage through history, promising to create lasting memories.
Day 1 - Burghley House & Belvoir Castle
Morning: Burghley House tour with owner and Chairman of Christie’s, Orlando Rock
Lunch: Indulge in lunch at the State Dining Room of Burghley House before being chauffeured 30 minutes to Belvoir Castle.
Evening: Arrive and be welcomed to an evening at Belvoir Castle, where they will be greeted by the Duke and Duchess of Rutland for a tour, dinner, and stay.
Day 2 - Scone Palace
Morning: Travel from East Midlands Airport to Edinburgh on VistaJet.
Lunch: Upon arrival, guests will be chauffeured to Scone Palace in Polestar cars. Lunch will be served at the dining table where Queen Victoria dined in 1842. After the three-course lunch, guests will enjoy a private tour of the Palace guided by Viscount Stormont.
Evening: Following the tour of Scone Palace, we will head back to Gleneagles hotel's Strathearn dining room for dinner, hosted by the Duke of Argyll. Later, enjoy a Royal Salute tasting and engage in a traditional quaich experience.
Day 3 - Blair Atholl
Morning: Leave for Blair Atholl Castle, situated only an hour away from Gleneagles Hotel. Discover the impressive private collection of state rooms owned by the Troughton family and immerse yourself in Scottish history.
Afternoon: A short 3 miles from Blair Atholl lies the famous House of Breur. A quintessential Scottish shopping Mecca.
Evening: Make your own way back to Gleneagles for a beautiful dinner at your own leisure.
Day 4 - Glamis Castle and travel home
Morning: Indulge in a leisurely breakfast and then chauffeur-driven to Glamis Castle
Lunch: Enjoy a tour of Glamis Castle, the childhood home of the Queen Mother, hosted by the Earl of Strathmore.
Evening: Following the event at Glamis, guests would then head back to either Edinburgh Airport or the train station to continue their journey back home.
